A shambles

Despite calling the bank to advise that I was transferring savings to my current account to buy a new car,I was not allowed to purchase it because they failed to acknowledge my email. I had to wait over 2hrs to get a response from the bank. Very embarrassing! Reviewed on: 22nd May 2017

The customer service at First Direct is excellent. You can always get through to someone on the telephone within seconds and the support team are always knowledgable and able to deal with queries effectively and quickly. Online support is also exemplary with queries responded to quickly and the FAQ section of the website is very detailed. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending First Direct. Like most banks, First Direct offered me a bribe of £100 to move banks. That was over 10 years ago, I've never even considered changing. Customer service is 2nd to none, and they even call me if I make irregular payments to prevent fraud. Reviewed on: 3rd May 2017

I moved to First Direct after being very unhappy with my current bank and have never regretted my decision- First Direct are a breath of fresh air in an age where everything is automated- I love the fact I can phone at 10pm and I don't have to press numbers to indicate what department I want, a person answers the phone very quickly and actually asks me what I want!!
