First Direct is first class in all respects.

Best Bank There is

Switched to FD a year ago and have no regrets. £125 for switching and a £250 interest free overdraft. Was that impressed I switched my joint account to FD also. Reviewed on: 28th December 2015

Best bank by miles

I have banked with First Direct for nearly 20 years and have always experienced excellent customer service. I especially like being able to talk to a real person, 24/7, 365 days a year. Like a reliable car that never gives you any hassle and always passes its MOT

I've been a First Direct customer for over 16 years now and I've never had a bad experience with them in all that time. They've always been able to answer any queries I've had when using their telephone banking service, and their online banking runs flawlessly. Sure, nowadays they take a little longer to answer the phone when you ring but that's due to their large increase in popularity and I never seem to be on hold for more than a couple of minutes if at all. Would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who are sick of their current bank and actually want to receive good service. I don't see myself leaving them at any point soon. First Direct offer amazing customer service

It is very rare that your call is not answered immediately. After a very simple identity check, they are able to answer almost any question quickly and effectively - even when it is a query about something going back some time. It's the kind of simple and common sense approach to customer service you imagine every company should manage and yet very rarely do. Reviewed on: 9th December 2015
