FirstDirect still doing the business in a personal way

First direct keep me informed without bombarding me relentlessly with emails and texts. They inform of product offerings, statements and interest rate changes in periodic and timely fashion. On the few occasions I need to call them on the phone their staff truly demonstrate why they have won so many customer service awards since 1989 Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Great customer service

What I like the most about this bank is the customer service, I don’t think I have ever had a bad interaction over the phone. Every time I have had a query it has been solved expediently and professionally. Of course the current account is great. I came via the switch offer and I do not regret it! They are with you 24/7 at the end of a phone line with a UK based call centre. On the rare occassion when I need to talk to a real person my problems are simply dealt with and I feel like I am talking to a friend. Problem free current account, for a change.

Had a First Direct current account for a few years now and am very satisfied. It makes a change to be problem free for so long. Customer Service sorted one 'scam problem' out, so overall very happy with the service. Reviewed on: 13th June 2025

They are easy to contact, have call centres that answer the phone based in the UK and have a clear app, that makes dealing with them easy. Reviewed on: 12th June 2025

Exceptional customer service

Have banked with FD for a long time - made the mistake many years ago after a poorer than normal experience to move current accounts but quickly regretted it and went back. App online always reliable and their phone customer service always exceptional. So nice polite and friendly and genuine. Actually seem to care about what they do and how they do it. Always professional efficient and well trained. use several other banks for saving or additional accounts or other products but refuse to move current account again. Reviewed on: 12th June 2025
