I've had an account since 1999. I moved away to Asia for several years, leaving very little in my account. When I eventually moved back to the UK in 2012, I was able to re-access my account with no difficulty and no charges! This was unusual as I was used to paying a fee in Hong Kong with HSBC. If your account fell below $5000, you were charged $50. No wonder so many people were leaving "The World's Favourite Bank"! I have never had any problems with The Halifax. Their mobile app is easy to use and quick. Customer service is exemplary. Reviewed on: 21st January 2020

I have banked with Halifax for several years. They have great customer service, the online banking is easy to organise my money. The savings accounts offer good interest rates and the current account offers a £2 bonus each month. Reviewed on: 19th January 2020

disgusting bank that will let anybody steal your money

closing my account down due to theft. 500 pounds taken from my account over the past year through the banks non existent security. Halifax dont care and dont help or pay it back. treat customers appallingly. Reviewed on: 8th January 2020

Great bank account with easy options

Great, easy to use current account. The app is great, the online banking website a little clunkier but still pretty user friendly. Service is always good. Only gripe is that they have been cutting rewards little by little the past year or so. But still overall a good account which I would recommend. Reviewed on: 4th January 2020
