Good price - kind of

Cheapest around for car insurance, but £20 just to change my address and I was the one who did it online Reviewed on: 4th August 2023

Terrible

No communication. Terrible. Cancelled a policy whilst I was away without trying to phone/text me, with one email that went to spam and no other attempts. Tried to sort, but they were as useless as I’d come to expect Reviewed on: 2nd August 2023

Prompt and efficient when needed

When needed the were prompt and efficient. They talked me through what would happen and asked if I had any questions or if there was there anything else I may need help with. I felt assured of their service. Reviewed on: 28th July 2023

Easy to deal with claims

Make haste in the opposite direction from Hasting Direct!

Hastings Direct cancelled my car insurance policy (for which I am most appreciative) because of "issues with my data," which I was expected to "resolve." These issues were not specified. In fact, the company's communication was no less rude than unhelpful. Reviewed on: 19th July 2023

Would avoid at all costs

Had a vehicle accident, been left without a vehicle although fully comp. They use a tick box to find liability regardless of proof the other driver is liable and has stated the police reports and independent witnesses have no impact as they have a tick box only option. Reviewed on: 10th July 2023

Rubbish

Have been with Hastings for over 10 years, never missed a payment never had a problem. Trying to cancel my insurance has been a joke. Not used my car in over 9 months for the passed 4 months have been trying to get through to them and not been able to do so, (have logs of the calls and time frame before I gave up). Finally got through tonight and they charged me 3 times what my monthly insurance was simply to cancel despite me explaining I have been trying to get through for the last four months and they have had 9 months worth of money to insure a car I haven't used. 1st person I spoke to hung up on me, 2nd person was lovely and very helpful but the powers behind her refused to compromise despite me having records of all the times iv tried to be in touch. Absolutely garbage will never use them again, loyal customer for years and all they wanted was their pennies ignorant of the fact they would have made much more from me when I bought my new car.
