Lady was lovely, nothing too much trouble, listened to me and my brother rattling on , as mum had sadly died the year before, when I needed another account I had all the help I needed. Reviewed on: 20th October 2024

Lowered interest rate when others are increasing!

The Hinckley and Rugby BS only launched this account paying 4.75% interest less than 3 months ago. Now I’m informed that the rate is being reduced to 4.25%. This is at a time when all other banks and Building societies are increasing their rates. My view is that this was a deliberate higher rate initially to attract new customers and they intended all along to reduce the rate shortly afterwards. Of course they will rely on the fact that 4.25% is still a good rate and customers can’t be bothered to close their accounts. Disgusting and unethical strategy. Reviewed on: 21st April 2023

Prompt and personal

The old fashioned, face to face service has been a delight. Opening the account was easy and each part of the process has been completed quickly. The communication along the way has been exemplary. Reviewed on: 19th April 2023

Efficient service, good savings product.

Application form provided very quickly by post, simple to complete and return to a branch office. Received a phone call within 48 hours with a security question from a staff member at the branch office and the account was then opened and passbook received just a few days later. Great to be able to deal with local staff by phone. Very happy with the savings rate offered. Reviewed on: 19th April 2023

Excellent experience

I opened a new savings account. The process was very straight-forward. The staff were friendly, efficient and took care to explain the account to me. The new pass book arrived with a couple of days. Overall it was an excellent service. Reviewed on: 19th April 2023

Grandchildren savings account
