Very helpful staff who go out of their way to help you (Kendal branch).

I travel a lot for work and I've often run into problems that HSBC has helped me out with. I once had my debit card stolen and it was difficult to get a replacement while I was abroad. However, the helpful staff at Kendal branch enabled me to get a new card promptly, and they also suggested making my mother a signatory to my account so that she can authorise such processes in the future should a similar situation arise. No problems with day to day banking, frustrating website

I've been a customer for 20 years and never felt the need to change as customer service in the bank is good. But the changes to online banking web pages have made it more difficult to use which seems a step backwards! Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Simple and finally rewarding

My HSBC account used to be pretty vanilla. It wasn't good, wasn't bad but did the job, now I get cashback offers on the things I buy. Keep upping the game HSBC. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Best bank out there

HSBC is the best bank on the high street. The customer service is brilliant and they have always helped me and sorted any problems I have. I have been accepted by HSBC For products where other banks have turned me down. I’m very happy and have recommended them to my partner who is changing banks. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Trustworthy

Helpful when you contact them

If you need help they are there, but are less pro-active in contacting you. I don't think I've has a financial review in over 10 years or longer. Quick to resolve issues when they know about them. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Excellent

I have banked with HSBC for years and found them extremely helpful from arranging a loan, negotiating an overdraft, applying for a mortgage and just generally banking. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Not the most efficient bank...

Lacks the urgency of a business that wants to keep one's custom. Needs to improve its systems and also have a decent customer service line - or access to someone in a branch! Reviewed on: 6th November 2017
