Review of the HSBC, Bank account:

Very helpful staff who go out of their way to help you (Kendal branch).

4
I travel a lot for work and I've often run into problems that HSBC has helped me out with. I once had my debit card stolen and it was difficult to get a replacement while I was abroad. However, the helpful staff at Kendal branch enabled me to get a new card promptly, and they also suggested making my mother a signatory to my account so that she can authorise such processes in the future should a similar situation arise. They really were very helpful! Reviewed on: 2nd January 2016

Poor customer service

1
Rude and unhelpful. The worst customer service of any of the banks I've been with. Reviewed on: 10th February 2017

Great Bank, Never Problems

Never had a problem, always helpful and friendly! Reviewed on: 9th February 2017

Dreadful bank, avoid

1
They were so unhelpful when I got made redundant during the financial crisis. I was over my overdraft limit and they wouldn't freeze the charges, so u had no possible way of getting. Back within my overdraft. Reviewed on: 9th February 2017

Not as good

3
Less branches open nowadays and their mobile app isn't as good as other banks around Reviewed on: 8th February 2017

Great all round bank

5
During my ten years with HSBC I have found the services that HSBC offer to be excellent. I recently experienced a cheque going missing in the system, this was dealt with efficiently and contact with staff was easily accessible and very professional. Reviewed on: 8th February 2017

Indian call centers!

3
When ringing HSBC it is very frustrating to be put through to a call center in India. I feel there would be a better connection with customers if the centers were based in the UK. Reviewed on: 8th February 2017

Absolutely useless incompetent bunch of idiots to deal with

1
They haven't got a clue what they offer, or how they offer it. I called them after having technical issues when trying to open a savings account online and was rudely told that you can't open them online. I had to explain two times that their website clearly has the option of opening it online and was then told maybe it does, but said if you have issues you'll have to come into a branch - what is the point of online banking?? Reviewed on: 7th February 2017

A good reliable company

4
My card stopped working and I went into my local HSBC bank. They quickly sorted out sending me a new card and it arrived pretty quickly Reviewed on: 7th February 2017

penalising people on low incomes.

1
HSBC are the scum of the earth, over draft charges for being 3p overdrawn, branches shutting down so they can save money, utter cowboys. Reviewed on: 7th February 2017

Too many high charges

3
There have been a few occasions over the years that I've gone into overdraft because of various things and the fact that they charge for every day is ridiculous I think... I know they have caps on this but still too high Reviewed on: 6th February 2017
