Straightforward and easy to access online

I love how I can just log on and see everything and do most things without having to speak to someone. I really like using the live chat feature as it makes it easier to quickly resolve and issues or queries. I also like the online banking app for when I am out and about. Reviewed on: 13th June 2018

terrible customer service

I'm sure there's better out there...

I have banked with HSBC for many years and find that banking has become a lot easier in recent years with online banking and apps, both of which are easy to use with HSBC. HSBC branches are widespread making it easy to pop into a branch if needed, however I have found recently that if you go into a branch with a query they direct you to telephone banking. This is my biggest gripe with HSBC as the telephone banking service is awful and I dread needing to contact them by phone. The service is clearly based abroad and it always seems to be a terrible line making conversations extremely difficult and frustrating. Several negative experiences with this have left me looking at switching banks, it's only because I've been with HSBC for so many years that I haven't yet made the switch but I'm sure there are better services out there. Great Banking App

I really like the fact that I can view all of my accounts in one place on the HSBC app and can transfer money very quickly from one account to another. Reviewed on: 30th May 2018

Amazing bank

Never had a trouble with them. Only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because the mobile app doesn't let you transfer money to someone else. Reviewed on: 4th April 2018

Poor

The online banking is fine, but the call centre is abysmal and they've closed all my local branches. They're also one of the dodgiest companies going, whether it's money laundering, libor rigging, etc. Reviewed on: 4th April 2018

Always very friendly and welcoming in branch.

Staff in my local Chichester branch are very friendly and helful. There is always someone to ask for assistance or advice and they are very appraochable. It makes going into the branch an enjoyable experience. Reviewed on: 11th February 2018
