Ups and downs

I've found the service levels at Lloyds bank to be pretty variable. In fairness, they seem to have more good days than bad days, but after this long with them i still haven't figured out the best times to call them - sometimes they're really busy mid afternoon, other times super quiet! High interest on balances and many extra benefits

5
I switched to Lloyds Bank Club Lloyds Current Account almost a year ago and I must say it was a right thing to. Not only do they pay interest on my current account (for the balances up to GBP5000) but they also offer special cashback offers from time to time, not to mention Club benefits such as magazine subscription or cinema tickets. The only bad point is the time it takes for them to consider you eligible for one of the credit cards. I've been declined once already and I never go in overdraft and have a fair credit score. Very good value bank account

I recently switched to the Lloyds Club Account and am very impressed with it. The account rewards you for having more money in your current account earning an impressive 4% gross interest on £5k which is very difficult to achieve on many savings accounts let alone a current account. Additional features include a lifestyle benefit each year, either cinema tickets, magazine subscription or Gourmet Society membership. I also like the ability to 'save the change', Lloyds rounds up money spent from the account to the nearest £ and puts it in a separate savings account. Great idea! My only issue with the account is that I believe the lifestyle benefits are a bit limited and more choice could be offered, especially as not everybody lives within easy access to cinemas and restaurants. nothing but trouble for last week

Trying to sort out paying for my phone bill and Lloyd's bank service just keep declined the payment when the money was in the account Try to. Get my bank card unblocked at customers service And the staff who was very rude No wonder why I am switching to another bank as Lloyd's has been nothing but trouble for last week Reviewed on: 9th April 2015

Good as long as you make min payment

3
A great free account so long as you make the min monthly payment which should be fine for most working people. This accounts gives you access to some good products offers as well as a lifestyle subscription (you can choose the one that most appeals to you). Reviewed on: 2nd April 2015

Lloyds Bank has donated to the fund for homeless war veterans and that's giving something back!

3
Lloyd's Banking Group suffered from the merger with HBOS which had been poorly run & had toxic assets. Fortunately after some very difficult years, the Group is back into profit & the Government bailout will soon be history with Lloyd's no longer partially owned by the UK taxpayer. This is excellent work. Bankers have been criticised & rightly so. Dishonest bankers nearly destroyed the world economy. And now Lloyd's have donated to the fund for homeless veterans which shows they are serious about helping society & not just themselves!! Lloyd's is trying to ensure that future generations of customers will find that they are a bank that truly can be trusted. Reviewed on: 6th March 2015

A good, valuable account

4
Great account that is flexible to match the needs of different people/interests. Particularly like the interest rate which is very nice. I would recommend but worth noting that there is a £5/month charge if you do not pay in £1500 or more! Reviewed on: 23rd February 2015

Not a massive differnce, easy to change to though

4
Changed my account from current account to Club Lloyd on the recommendation of the bank adviser. Extremely easy to do, if not a bit long and tedious, hardest bit was having to keep watching the clips, saves the staff having to say it I assume. To be honest I have not noticed any change at the moment apart from the free magazine, Reviewed on: 25th January 2015

I think they are a very good and proficient company that all the people in england would like to join their team and enjoy their services. Reviewed on: 11th January 2015

Good if you understand how it works

4
This is a pretty golden account, but you need to understand how it works to get the max benefits from it - key points are 1 - Must pay in £1500 a month for it to be free - probably not the best account if you're prepared to pay 2 - Interest rate of 4% is very good - but again, you'll only get this if the balance is between £4,000 to £5,000 - funny thing is you don't get any interest on money above the £5,000...so stay below this!
