My experience with Lloyds bank had been a pleasant one from the day that I joined. I walked into the bank one Wednesday afternoon wanting to open an account with them there and then and I walked out 20 minutes later having done just that. I could easily tell from then on, my bank experience was going to be hassle free, I hadn't eve made an appointment yet (the cheek of me) all the staff were wonderfully gracious and took the time to explain everything in explicit detail. However this isn't the incident that made me love my bank with such a strange passion. I'd gone on holiday to Switzerland for 3 days and I'd obviously let my bank know that I would be travelling so that they wouldn't become suspicious of my overseas account activity. I thought I was being so cautious and intelligent but lo and behold I lost my wallet 4 hours after arriving in Geneva like the idiot that I am. Of course panic ensued, I'd been intending on just using my card to pay for things so I'd only taken out a measly amount in cash just in case. I went to the police station but no one had handed anything in yet, I was so fortunate that I was there with friends who'd been smart enough to bring lots of extra money. I ended up calling tweeting Lloyds bank, because my phone decided to stop working in my time of need, and told them what happened in hopes that something could be done. This is when that customer service satisfaction kicked in, a Lloyds employee called the hotel I was staying at and worked with me for almost an hour corresponding to find my account number, to cancel my card and went on the to call the police station in Geneva continuously for me to check whether the card had been found. this partcular employee (named Claire if I remember correctly) went to new heights that she didn't even have to in order to help me, she even found a way for me to transfer all my money into a new account and also into my friends account so that I wasn't stranded in a different country with no money. Furthermore, by the time I came home, a day and a half later, there was a brand new sparkly card in my mailbox! The efficiency was an unexpected gift from Lloyds that I highly appreciated without a doubt. Reviewed on: 16th February 2016

Never earned a penny from me!

I hated my first account with Lloyds (early 80's) after they charged me £10 for going overdrawn by 3p... so I left the account open for 8 years with no more than 5p in the account post payday making them send me statements etc for the duration so they never earned any cash out of me! Mostly Harmless

Overall, I've enjoyed my time with Lloyd's. The easy to use internet banking and friendly in-branch experience has made me feel secure in having my classic account with them. I'm able to easily keep track of my money, I'm contacted when I need to be but am not inundated with communication, and I was able to make this communication paperless, which causes far less clutter in my life! My only issue with my Lloyds Classic Account is that it was changed to a student account when I was on my gap year, which means my graduate account is due to revert back to classic a year early. I've had some difficulty proving this and getting it fixed - I've been told it's been sorted a couple of times, but it hasn't. However, apart from this hiccup, I've been very happy. Just great!

Always helpful on the phone if something goes wrong (hardly ever) - great in branch with friendly staff and modern ATMs. Good solid account but this base account has no interest paid. Reviewed on: 13th February 2016

Best Bank

I am with Lloyds Bank since 2006 ,never had any problems,best bank in England. Every branch staff are so helpful,always happy to go in and ask some questions ,and sort out things if needed . Reviewed on: 12th February 2016

Professional and security conscious - overall adequate

Faultless

I love Lloyds - when a payment went missing once, a real person on the phone sorted it out very quickly and all was corrected in a matter of hours. Been with them for years, faultless! Reviewed on: 12th February 2016

Supported me since I was 15

I love my bank - they've supported me right form when I was 15 and just wanted to get cash out to being a student, and now being full time employed. They are great! Reviewed on: 12th February 2016
