Speed of remortgage offer and acceptance

Received our remortgage offer following our discounted term ending. Offered a really good deal, signed the paperwork emailed back and half about later received confirmation all done and dusted. Amazing service Reviewed on: 31st August 2024

Initial Mortgage Enquiry

When initially enquiring about mortgages with the Building Society, I found that some responses could have been quicker. This however, was made up by the great customer service which I received from the mortgage advisor (Rob). He was extremely helpful throughout my application, fast to respond and went over and above to ensure that I was satisfied with everything. I would highly recommend the service which they provide. Paperwork not checked properly by branch.

My completion date had been set, but on the day at 11.20am, they demanded another document needed to be signed and witnessed by 12pm or the money would not be released that day. My removal company had already packed up and left for my new house. I would have been homeless until at least Monday. Because of this, my keys weren't ready until after 4pm and my removal company charged overtime after 5pm, which I had to pay because of the delay. Made a stressful day even worse by the paperwork all not being checked and ready for our move until the last minute. Reviewed on: 10th June 2024
