Paperwork contradiction

The overall experience of the Loughborough was good but the wording in their offer and paperwork was contradictory and confusing. I had to contact the Building Society for clarification. Reviewed on: 12th May 2025

Processing mortgage application

The experience of our mortgage application was good. The application was vetted thoroughly and significant information was obtained. Because of this due diligence the process took 2 months to receive a mortgage offer. We felt that it could have been quicker. However, this was not necessarily the fault of Loughborough as there was an initial delay from our accountant. Loughborough had to request further info which delayed the case further. An excellent service

I contacted Loughborough Building Society about getting a mortgage. My case had some peculiarities and from the outset everyone was willing to assist me and did their utmost to overcome the difficulties. My personal contact, Rob Johnson, has been immensely helpful, patient, polite, and knowledgeable during the entire process. The communication with Rob, and also Ben from general enquiries. has been consistently efficient, prompt, and informative. In short my experience from Rob and the sociery is that of a friendly, professional service, which makes the usually stressful process of buying a property much more manageable, and reassuring.
