I Haven't Left!

Just to say I haven’t left The Mansfield, but I merely closed our 90-day postal account to transfer it to a Community Saver with the MBS which suited our needs better and was more advantageous. The people at the Chesterfield branch were very helpful and understood my needs perfectly and dealt with the transfer without a problem. So very happy! Reviewed on: 13th December 2025

Staff always very friendly and greet you as soon as you enter the branch. Offers very good advice. It is much better to invest in a local Building Society rather than a large impersonal one. Reviewed on: 12th December 2025

Went in the day before to ask the procedure for open...

Went in the day before to ask the procedure for opening an account. Was offered a form to take home or could do it there. Took form home and returned the following day. Took my ID's with me. They were able to open my account on the spot. Maybe, because I always go into town early. Reviewed on: 12th December 2025

LENGTH OF TIME TAKEN TO SET UP TRUST DEPOSIT ACCOUNT

The biggest issue with setting up a Trust Deposit account was the length of time it took, especially the period between when the checks on the numerous sponsors and beneficiaries had completed and the account set up and ready to accept funds. Basically I had almost a quarter of a million pounds sat in another banks Trust current account that I could not transfer to the Mansfield and thus cost a lot in missed opportunity to earn interest Reviewed on: 12th December 2025

no title as restricting word count unnaceptable

Rate competitiveness is always a factor in moving away but in my case it was the friction of the user experience ie withdrawals and time taken to action and receive in my current account. Others providers are better. I expect same day ability Reviewed on: 12th December 2025
