Customer service was good and I had no issues during my time with Mansfield. Not having a website or app is a negative as I like to see how much money is in the account easily. Also only having a book to see the balance seems behind the times. The interest rate matching BOE base rate is good but other providers offer higher so this is another negative. LENGTH OF TIME TAKEN TO SET UP TRUST DEPOSIT ACCOUNT

The biggest issue with setting up a Trust Deposit account was the length of time it took, especially the period between when the checks on the numerous sponsors and beneficiaries had completed and the account set up and ready to accept funds. Basically I had almost a quarter of a million pounds sat in another banks Trust current account that I could not transfer to the Mansfield and thus cost a lot in missed opportunity to earn interest Reviewed on: 12th December 2025

Reasonable regular saver, but a faff to manage

Unfair charge for withdrawal.

I was given an option to close my account because of lowered interest rates. I opted to close it. Then found I had to pay £25 to have it transferred to my bank account, I thought this disgusting.I have to say Laura helped me to have my money by cheque very promptly. The account I opened was market-leading in 2023, but was then surpassed. Gradually I reduced the amount I had saved with the Mansfield. In the absence of other Mansfield accounts that were interesting to me, I decided to close my account. Reviewed on: 9th July 2025

No worthwhile internet accounts for too long

I had a long standing regular saver account that was good value for several years. Over time the rate got too noncompetitive, so I open the 30 day regular saver to see if any other accounts came along. Given about a year I saw that the internet side wasn't being given the choice and rate of accounts in branch and post, so decided the best days for me have gone and won't be coming back. The internet savings you have are no where near competitive enough. One of your branch accounts I would have opened had it been online, but alas, no! Reviewed on: 1st April 2025

My Mansfield Experience

The savings product I hold follows the base rate so it is not the best place for my money in terms of savings rate where other providers offer a higher rate. The lack of app and difficulty to see how much money I have in my account is a negative. Offering an app would be good and could be offered alongside the physical book as I understand other customers may prefer to keep the book. The customer service when I have rung up is very good.
