A fun, simple account for kids!

Monzo have made it simple and effective to set up a young person's account which is not only free, but offers complete parental oversight and allows children to be in charge of their own finances. With both parents added and child having access to their own monzo app designed for them, the experience is well rounded and accessible for all. Reviewed on: 20th March 2025

U16 account

I received an email regarding the U16 account and while I was interested in getting one for my kids, I expected it to be a pain to open with fees that didn't make it worthwhile. I was very wrong. Took a few clicks and my boys received their cards in a few days. Outstanding and at 7 and 10, they'll remember Monzo forever as their first "account". The free under 16 account is brilliant.

The free under 16 account is brilliant. My two boys aged 10 and 13 use thier own accounts to save money My older boy was skipping school dinners .He is now using his monzo card to buy lunch every day .He had a slight eating disorder due to his medication.He is now on the way to eating properly . Both boys no use separate pots to split any spending money and save for holidays and anything else they want to buy . Great product and thanks for allowing us to be beta users.This produ...
