The best banking app for staying in control

Monzo has completely changed how I manage my money. The app is incredibly intuitive and makes budgeting feel simple rather than stressful. I love being able to split my salary into different Pots for bills, savings, and spending – it’s helped me automate my finances and stay on top of my goals. The instant spending notifications and categorisation make it easy to see where my money is going, which has genuinely reduced impulsive spending. I also find Monzo great for everyday use and travel, with transparent fees and real-time balance updates. While it doesn’t have physical branches, the digital experience is so smooth that I’ve never missed them. Monzo has let me take control of my money.

Using Monzo has made it easy for me to see exactly where my money is going each month. Allocating my budget into pots, such as my food shop pot, let's me easily see how much I'm actually spending on each budget line as well as spending money directly from each pot through Apple Pay. I love Monzo !

I love Monzo ! I have used Monzo for about 6 months now and i am just about to switch my wages from being paid into my well known high street bank account to Monzo. I love how it updates instantly, you can access your wages a day early, it has little money saving incentives, it’s easy to use. All in all it’s fab. However I couldn’t rate the customer service as I have never had to use them but I’m sure they are just as amazing as the app. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026
