There’s no monthly fee for FlexBasic and Nationwide automatically open a savings account for you at the same time. The account doesn’t have an arranged overdraft facility.

I had a complaint with nationwide after having a charge for a transaction that wasn't completed. Ended up getting £25 compensation which was great. However, the card gives poor interest rates Reviewed on: 11th February 2017

Asked for a contactless card. I wasn't sent one so immediately rang customer services and they sent out very quickly and excellent customer service. Reviewed on: 5th December 2016

The staff are always helpful and can answer my enquiries. The branch has plenty of staff available and they have machines for paying in cheques that is helpful. Reviewed on: 20th June 2016
