A perfect card for my relative

Having just had to have Power of attorney for my cousin , I was at a loss as to how to control his worsening difficulties ,his bank manager suggested this card , which had no overdraft would be the best option , and it has proved to be a saving option for his peace of mind and his confused spending pattern while I deal with his current account and bills .Thank you so much Reviewed on: 7th November 2017

Nationwide kept us in the dark

We were at a dealership trying to pay for our car. Insurance on our car that we were trading in had expired and we were unable to pay for our new one. Insurance Brokers closed for the week-end so unable to extend our insurance. Pin on our debit card was accepted but payment would not go through (we tried 9 times over the course of 4 hours). Left us 30 miles away from home with no car or means of getting cash from the ATM. It was a nation wide problem but not information from Nationwide. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Simple, fuss free banking

I opened my Nationwide account six months ago opting for the Flex account basic. I find this no frills account is best for me, not least because there are no fees for a returned direct debit or if you go overdrawn, but also because, having had an account with a monthly fee previously, I didn't use or need any of the extras they came with. Nationwide - best customer service

I used to bank with Lloyds and I absolutely hated going into my bank, in fact I dreaded it. I hated the ridiculous fees that were applied to my account when I went overdrawn and I hated the fees on the planned overdraft facility. Since I switched to Nationwide 2 years ago, everything is just so simple, their customer service is always excellent and in fact I actually like going into any of the branches as I know I will always be greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. Nationwide have never applied any fees to my account and switching was the best thing I did. I would recommend Nationwide a million times over, I am a very happy customer. good communication, poor interest

I had a complaint with nationwide after having a charge for a transaction that wasn't completed. Ended up getting £25 compensation which was great. However, the card gives poor interest rates Reviewed on: 11th February 2017
