Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Newbury building society

Junior ISA opening

We went into branch to open a junior ISA for our baby. Everyone was helpful and friendly and it took about 15 minutes. This product is not available to open online so we had to go to branch and the experience was very good with the account being opened with a cash deposit. We didn't have to wait and we received confirmation and details via email the next day. Recommended with high rate of interest vs the alternatives. Reviewed on: 20th September 2024

Excellent all round service

Made an appointment and saw a very friendly member of staff (Nicole) who was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us.We had our appointment on Friday afternoon and our pass books were received in the post on Monday morning. Reviewed on: 13th September 2024

It took longer than I expected.

It took longer than I expected to open up a 1 year bond with yourselves - in marked contrast to one I happened to open this morning with National Savings - given that I am an existing customer / known quantity to both organisations Reviewed on: 6th September 2024

Opening a joint online fixed term savings...

We wanted to open a joint online fixed term savings account. We were able to check the interest rates online and make an informed choice as to which account we wanted. We were also able to apply for online banking, the verification for the account opening and banking process was straightforward. Reviewed on: 6th September 2024
