Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Savings accounts

Opening an existing member savings account

I was looking for an alternative to my clearing bank for some of my savings and was told that Newbury had increased the limit for an annual subscription to its existing member account. I was able to open the account over the internet in the course of a week with very little fuss. Reviewed on: 24th March 2023

No problems

ISA EASY

My wife and I opened a cash ISA and savings account each over the phone and by post. The process was quick and accurate and the people we dealt with were charming and most helpful. Reviewed on: 24th March 2023
