Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Efficient & pleasant staff member

Called to open an account as a new member without making a prior appointment. Seen immediately by Will Simpson, who understood exactly what I wanted, sorted it all efficiently and didn't waste my time with information about products I wasn't interested in - I would happily deal with him should I have further need for information on this or future products. Follow-up paperwork to enable on-line transactions have been equally efficient & timely. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

Crossing the North South divide!!

Afrer securing a mortgage with another lender first and then having it withdrawn at the last minute because they could! The Newbury stepped in and and more than filled our not insignificant gap in lending needs. We are now in our lovely new home and its thanks to the Newbury. Reviewed on: 4th February 2020

excellent service

When I went into the Winchester branch to enquire about a savings account, The manager I spoke to was very helpful and gave me the relevant forms. I filled in the forms but was telephoned later as there was a query about my form, but it was sorted out very efficiently. Many thanks!! Reviewed on: 31st January 2020

Simple and helpful

The forms were simple, and when I made a mistake filling in the application form and omitted some information the clerk at the Newbury was able to obtain the information elsewhere for me. Prompt service and it looks like a good product that I have bought. Reviewed on: 31st January 2020

Good so far

I have only been with Newbury for a couple of weeks. However, have so far been extremely impressed with the customer service provided, especially with minimal wait times on the phone. Reviewed on: 31st January 2020

Excellent branch service frustrating online set up (not achieved)

Went online to set up and make an initial payment, staff were very helpful but I was unable to carry out the set up. Was it me?? Calling at Hungerford branch to pay money in I was well treated and all my questions were answered. A good experience at the branch. Reviewed on: 31st January 2020
