Do not use "Post Office" travel insurance take a nettle with you at least when you touch it you will know you have been stung. Mere criminals maskarading as legitimate traders. We all know insurance is a con in most cases, not worth the paper it's written on but never thought such a recognised brand could act so low. Living in a rural area with no public transport or contactable taxi service, our own vehicle our lifeline about to set out 04:15 for flight 07:15 discovering our battery was flat and rushed around for an alternative, try that in a rural area 5am. Long story short missed my flight and paid a rescue fee to Easyjet next available flight, 3 days later obviously missing that period of my holiday also. Having this misfortune remembering my Post Office insurance I saw a very dim light at the end of the tunnel, which was soon extinguished when I reached out to "Post Office" claims call handlers. Twice relaying my predicament they hung up, all stuck in some sweat shop in India, had loose understanding of the English language and even less in the use of the language. Then questioned like a criminal as if I intensionally missed my flight, loosing three days of my holiday!!. Luckily I've had the misfortune of coming across such charlatans before and well versed in the services of the Financial Ombudsman, which I can assure the Post Office is where they are going to be overhauled. Rip off post office

Bought insurance on line big mistake after finishing they sent the policy I couldn’t open it when I got back from holiday after a big problem with with airline and travel agent I phoned them only to be told you only insured your luggage over£70 for luggage insurance I didn’t take any I took a cabin bag as we were only going for 7 nights they replied to my email with you was not insured for that situation be careful as they are con artists wish I had read reviews wouldn’t recommend Reviewed on: 4th September 2023

The worst!!!

I didn't read rhe reviews before buying travel insurance from them. The worst costumer service ever. We must to call from the hospital in Turkey 2 hours so they can send the documents for the calm for my 4years son!!! He was so upset because of the injury and besides the injury he need to wait 2 more hours at the hospital for the insurance!! Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Terrible customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service when trying to make a claim - they tried to tell me what I was claiming for was not covered under my insurance and it took me reading out the wording of the policy agreement to show that it was. Then they only sent me money for one of my claims and not the other resulting in having to ring them again. Do Not Buy

I have been trying now to make a claim on Post Office Travel insurance for 5 months. My husband and I were prevented from going on a cruise when he had a cardiac arrest in February. His heart condition was accepted as an existing medical condition on the policy which cost £1200. They constantly pass the buck, ask for medical notes and leave everything to the last legal minute they are allowed. They owe us £8000plus. Not worth the broadband space of downloading the docs ,

Purchased post office insurance, they just find any reason not to pay. Don’t buy it . We had a cancelled flight which incurred lots of cost getting home, Collinson would not pay out, waste of money don’t use Reviewed on: 26th July 2023

AVOID,IT IS VIRTUALLY A SCAM.

Do not use the post office travel insurance.it is underwritten by Collinsons travel insurance.they will not pay out for claims,do not understand why the post office use them.most people give them 1*!!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND I MEAN COSTS.there are 1000s of bad reviews on complaints sites. Password nightmare

Tried to access online. Changing password didn't help. Prompt to reset password came from TRAVEL.Rang call centre, she reset it, got in once. Then travel.insurance wouldn't let me in. Reset wouldn't work, rang. Man said he'd send email but didn't. Now can't access home insurance either. Won't be renewing either police, what a farce. Reviewed on: 8th June 2023

Unbelievably bad .do not buy

Have had great difficulty trying to submit a claim for travel insurance for holiday we were unable to take die to death of my mother.have emailed and submitted forms and tried ringing.witjout even an acknowledgement.unbelievably bad customer service! Reviewed on: 24th April 2023
