I have had current accounts with many banks in my time, but the Royal Bank of Scotland is a cut above. The account works flawlessly... I have had current accounts with many banks in my time, but the Royal Bank of Scotland is a cut above. The account works flawlessly and as a senior citizen there I have access to an over-60's telephone number which gets you through to a real person in a couple of minutes. I've tried the newer fin-tech banks but when you need to speak to someone they just don't work. Contacted the bank to tell them not to lemd me any more money. First human i interacted with told me its not possible. Even went so far as to tell me my husband should get power of attorney!! I escalated it and was emailed with a reassurance that a stop had been pit on m accounts for lending. Less than 2 weeks later I borrowed another 5k. Same process.
