Very reassuring to have real people to talk to

Poor rates

I opened a variable savings account a few weeks ago, the rate was very competitive. Just a month later, it was reduced twice and now is really really poor.I Have 18 accounts, Saffron was in the top 3, it is now in the bottom 6 on my list.Needless to say I withdrew my funds Reviewed on: 30th June 2025

Savings accounts and customer service staff

The Saffron e-saver is a very useful account. An excellent rate of interest and withdrawals processed very quickly and reach bank account within a few hours on the same day - other building societies take till at least the following day. The new Members' Month Loyalty Saver is another super product with a top rate of interest. It is an ideal way to save for a specific short-term goal - e.g. holiday, celebration, etc. The customer service staff answering phone calls are always very helpful with a warm and friendly approach. I applied for two forms to transfer two maturing ISA waited a week no information phoned up to get two only got one phoned again got two then got a email saying if my money was not put into the account they would close Reviewed on: 30th June 2025
