I needed my online ID and password to be reissued.

I needed my online ID and password to be reissued. This was fine, but they told me that the password would have many symbols. The password had no gap between "your new password is:(s,vu@..... As a result I didn't know exactly where the password should start? I managed to lock myself out again. The 2nd person I spoke to told me the password should have 10 characters, this made it much easier to identify and I logged in straight away. It would save a lot of time and confusion if the password had an obvious gap or staff told customers that passwords are 10 characters long in the first place. Reviewed on: 24th January 2024

The difficulty of opening a new account on maturity

My wife and I wanted, on the maturity of our regular saver account to open a new regular saver. Instead of postal details , as helpfully in the past , they came by email. The maturity proceeds were sent to our bank, as wanted, but your email described them as “withdrawals . I have received a letter advising of the new account, but my wife has heard nothing at all. My standing order was cancelled, because payments for the old account were returned, described incorrectly as a withdrawal , no standing order form for tge new account was sent, as hitherto, and after holding on at tge phone today, I was told that we would have to set up a new Standing order, without information being offered. The fantastic service of your Society in the past, seems to have been sacrificed to the impersonal internet . To compound things, when I attempted to set up an S.O. The Bank sent you £100, before I could quote my account number, or confirm the payment as correct! Reviewed on: 16th January 2024
