Opening Children's Savings accounts

Very helful and personal service in branch. However, no online capability to open accounts seems out of date and resulted in a slow 2-3 week processing time. Savings account rates are competitive and and online access available post opening. Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

A problem solved with good grace

I have several one year savings accounts with SBS and I went into the Haverhill branch about one account as the renewal form wasnt very clear for what I wanted to do. The gentleman there filled in the form but then due to a glitch in the computer system update my instructions were not carried out. I contacted SBS and a lady working from home investigated what had happened. She then asked me to come into the branch to sort it out and , without me asking, gave me a goodwill payment as compensation for the inconvenience. It was a bit worrying but all sorted out satisfactorily in the end. Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

Queues in the branch

Service good, however each time I have visited SW (different times different days) I have had to queue for anything up to 30 minutes - one day I had to leave after queuing for around 15 minutes, as I had to be somewhere, and it was obvious I would not be able to get to the appointment in time. For the accounts I have I am not allowed online access, so I have no alternative but to come into the branch Reviewed on: 15th January 2024
