Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

First class!

First class service! Extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable customer service advisors. None are 'pushy' and all take time to explain everything. I've used Saga for a few years now, and I'm a committed customer. It's really good to know the head office is in Folkestone Kent - (great place to live, I know it well). Carry on as you are Saga! Value for money

I switched to Saga's car insurance as it offered me the same cover as other companies, better road side assistance and for a much lower premium. I have had to call roadside assistance on one occasion and my problem was resolved promptly by a polite, pleasant and patient assistant. I don't think I ever need to look elsewhere to insure my car.
