My santender account is good enough to use.

I find my Santander account easy to manage and I couldn't think of a better account to use being at university. When I opened my student account I was given an overdraft with 0% interest which doesn't need to be paid back until I finish university. Moreover, whenever I'm in need of assistance I always come off the phone or away from the branch feeling as though I have gained all the help I need in order to solve my problems. Poor customer service in Windsor branch

Tried to open a bank account with my daughter in Windsor branch ready for college in September, id provided of recent savings account statement and passport but was advised needed driving licence and utility bill in addition. Difficult to provide as she does not have these as living at home without driving licence. Went to Nat West with same documents and no problem to open account. Member of staff on reception was very unhelpful and indifferent to trying to help at all. Reviewed on: 16th July 2019

Improvements Over Time

Initially it was a poor service and product, between myself and my family we all has fraud issues happen, but Santander have really stepped up their security recently and I feel much more confident that my money is safe. I've found the customer service to have really improved too so I'm being provided an all round much better service and product these days. Reviewed on: 13th May 2019

DATA PROTECTION BREACH/VILE TEXT MESSAGES

DATA PROTECTION BREACH and VILE TEXT MESSAGES FROM STAFF. Yes you read that correctly. Open a bank account and you may receive a courtesy text message when the “professional” who opens it for you decides to take your phone number off the Santander database and send you vile text messages... Don’t bother complaining though because the complaint will be ignored and the banker will still be working there despite the distress he caused you. You will get no apology just an automated letter stating that it has been dealt with. Taking advantage of vulnerable adults to satisfy his own sexual desires. That’s Chorley for you folks.
