Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. Perfect for students

Easy to reach customer service, good products

Does what it says on the tin. Maybe not as advanced in terms of features that new banks like Monzo have, but it's a solid bank account you can trust. Reviewed on: 15th February 2023

Great bank

I have a 123 student account and love the benefits it has. The zero interest overdraft is great for emergencies. I was also give a free railcard and I use it so much and have saved a lot. Reviewed on: 14th February 2023
