Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. TRULY THE WORST

This is the most awful bank in the world period. Dont even go near them. I did an online transfer and they locked out my account and after 5 calls with one hour wait each timie, and two days still dont know when it will be done. It is being reviewed by back office and within their time ranges they say. Cannot say when it will be done. Their security question asks for a recent transactin amount! with your online account locked out Reviewed on: 24th November 2021

Useless

Moved business account to Santander as branches were easier to get to but now they have shut them all meaning I have to go out my way to pay in a few cheques. Also customer service is woeful !
