Review of the Santander, 123 Current Account (discontinued):

Good money maker

I switched to Santander bank after having a bad experience with Lloyds a year ago. The nice lady in Santander introduced me to 123 current account and worked out for me ,taking into account my salary, savings, spending, whether this account is suitable for me. She want pushy or manipulative and left the decision to me. When I switched the bank moved all my bills and standing orders to my new accound and the money that had been sitting in my saving account making almost no profit. Over the last year I made around 200 pounds by having the money in my 123 Current account instead of keeping it in my old Saving account. Even with the fee increase from 2 to 5 pounds its still worth staying with them if you have over 10000 pounds in savings. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Worth the monthly fee

I have had the 123 account for around 5 years now and have earnt myself over £1000 in cashback from my mortgage and paying utility bills from the account. I have always found the customer service to be very good and the staff in branch extremely helpful and friendly Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

123 Account

Interest on your current account up to £20,000 better than most savings accounts and cashback on some purchases with the 123 credit card. I have had this account for a number of years and although the terms are less favourable than when I first took it out it is still a very competitive account. Reviewed on: 7th November 2018

123 Works for me

For those of you who want a decent account that gives something back for a small fee then this is one of the best accounts, you don’t need to have a vast salary paid in unlike many other accounts, this one is a minimum of £500 a month, you get cash back on direct debits to major utility suppliers & interest on your balance. Good website, I don’t get bombarded with loads of rubbish emails & they also offer rewards on using your debit card at certain retailers, just plain good all round service. Very happy with this account and the level of service

Pleased with the level of service at Santander. I have been very happy with this bank for many years, they are always happy to help with any problems and in fact most things can be resolved on line if you have that facility enabled.
