I like the fact that Scottish Building Society has branches; you can speak to staff face-to-face or via phone; the business and staff are very helpful. What could be better would be a bit higher savings rates because they are currently not keeping face with inflation. Reviewed on: 9th November 2023

Missing Funds

I made a substantial transfer into my SBS account using the same sort code, account number and reference that I always use but the funds were not applied to my account. My bank has confirmed the transfer was successfully completed, but SBS cannot find the transaction and show no sense of urgency. I would recommend avoiding this financial institution as this is the only time this have ever happened to me. Reviewed on: 8th November 2023

Convenient branch, rates competitive, service pleasant BUT passbook etc for new account sent out by post arrived with envelope unsealed - passbook could have fallen out which is a security, privacy risk. Is the glue of envelopes strong enough?. Reviewed on: 7th November 2023
