2315383V I am extremely disappointed with the incompetence of the Tesco home insurance claims team. It has now been over 72 hours since I was promised a call from the claims manager, and I have yet to receive any communication. This lack of follow-up is unacceptable and reflects poorly on how the company treats its clients. My initial conversation with the claims handler, Julian, was frustrating. She was not only rude but also unhelpful, displaying aggressive behavior and making judgmental remarks. When I raised a complaint about her conduct and asked to be transferred to another team, she abruptly cut the call, leaving me without any assistance. Following that, I spoke with John, who was somewhat more understanding and apologized for Julian's behavior. He assured me that the manager would call back. However, after waiting an additional 48 hours with no call, I reached out again and spoke to Sarah. Unfortunately, she was equally unhelpful and seemed to lack the necessary knowledge to assist me. Her dismissive attitude only added to my frustration. Despite my insistence that the 48-hour window had passed, Sarah insisted that I had to wait longer, only to later confirm that I had indeed crossed the threshold. She mentioned that the manager's line was busy but assured me that I would receive a call back. Yet, here I am, over 72 hours later, still waiting. This entire experience has been incredibly stressful and disheartening. We pay for insurance for protection during difficult times, not to be met with rudeness and incompetence. Tesco needs to seriously improve its claims process and customer service. I will be escalating this complaint further, as this is simply not acceptable. Reviewed on: 8th February 2025

Tesco have reduced my premiums and upped my cover.

I have been with Tesco home insurance for several years now and they are always cheaper than any of the comparison sites or match the prices but with better cover. Their home and contents cover is comprehensive and can be amended to meet individual needs. Always found them to be professional and helpful on the phone and their prices are competitive and we've paid in our view a good price for what they offer so would say to others, give them a try for a quote, you might be pleasantly surprised ! Absolutely awful, no response now for three weeks and its still going on. I registered the claim over 2 months ago. After having the loss adjuster attend to check this a valid claim (which is fine and fair). I was made to feel like a criminal more than a victim. Having been insured for 20 years, never ever claimed once and this is the level of service received. I have been told I am covered then I am not covered. they cant decide and they cant be bother to respond. Just one to avoid. Reviewed on: 16th July 2024

Wife lost her phone whilst out walking, immediately contacted Tesco home insurance to raise a claim, from the very 1st moment i felt to be a criminal, I was bombarded with tasks to do before they would pay anything, it took a total of 7 weeks for Tesco to agree to pay out for my loss, I constantly had to chase for an update not once did Tesco contact me 1st, the last conversation I had was “we are still waiting on some information “ they requested this 5 weeks previous and I sent immediately, when challenged they just said “ok send me your bank details and the money will be in within 3-5 working days “ the only product I will ever buy again from Tesco is cheap Gin and Larger when on offer Reviewed on: 14th June 2024
