Most companies charge a fortune to insure Shar Pei, with five to insure price has to be a factor. Tesco's provide an excellent level of cover at a fair and very competetive price. Reviewed on: 22nd July 2016

Ive had tesco pet insurance for years. once you have claimed once for a condition you only need to send off the reciepts no need for vets to send. plus they have vetphone. never had an issue with them always been very helpfull. Reviewed on: 13th March 2016

Quick payment no questions asked when my dog had surgery.

My GSD had a mammary lump, had surgery to remove her glands, all went well but had some reaction to the pain killers two trips to the vets over the weekend to get sorted. When the claim went in it was paid to the full amount no questions about the extra cost. Reviewed on: 26th November 2015

Helpful friendly and very efficient, quick with payments.

Right from getting a quote they were friendly and helpful, I have had to make 2 claims for my dog on the first claim I phoned them and they were friendly and helpful and payment was paid into my bank very quickly. On the 2nd claim the vet sent in the claim direct and contacted me a short time later to say the bill had been paid in full, so I didn't even need to anything myself. I would give this insurance 10 out of 10 and recommend to everyone, this is a great service for a very good price. Well done Tesco. Reviewed on: 26th November 2015

A bit expensive

Lesser monthly premium would be very welcomed as I find £5.72 a bit expensive for a non pedigree male cat ....I received cheaper quotes elsewhere after I bought my policy unfortunately Reviewed on: 10th November 2015

I have bought tesco pet insurance and I have to say I am very happy with it,I would say it is much better value for money than other company's that I have been with in the past.Also I couldn't have been happier with the help I received when trying to decide what policy to take out,I was not rushed into picking a policy that cost the most that I didn't need.I think I will be staying with tesco for sometime. Simple Convenient Swift peace of mind at a great price

Having bought a small dog I found I wanted to avoid high vets bills. The Tesco Pet Insurance quote I got was cheaper than many specialist providers & covered a wide range of Illness & accidents There was a 100 pound excess but this is standard on nearly all insurance. If I paid more I could I think reduce the excess. Buying the cover was simple, register via Tesco.com & pay the money either via 1 single payment or convenient Direct Debits. If I recall correctly the Direct Debit was a few pounds more but not much. I gave them my details, name address phone number. My dogs details, name, age, breed etc. And that was it. Peace of mind obtained in a few clicks. Job done. So far no claims made Finger crossed Reviewed on: 4th November 2015
