Cannot cancel

Unable to get through to anyone. No phone number easily accessible to cancel policy. Contacted the e-mail given to cancel. Still after months they are stealing money from me. Have now tried to cancel through my bank. Reviewed on: 3rd December 2021

Tescos changed policy provider from royal and sun alliance to pinnacle and sent a letter saying everything would carry on as usual. The only difference was the premium for my dog was £27.43 in feb then £64.86 in march with the new provider. What a shower of scammers, and how would Tescos put their name to it. A complete disgrace. Avoid Tesco Pet Insurance at All Costs

Tesco Pet Insurance starts at a reasonable rate to entice you, and soon enough the rates will creep at a steep rate. Expect to pay over 10x the original rate withing a few years of having the policy with them. In terms of their customer service, get ready to wait for over an hour for someone to help you with your questions. That is if the call doesn't get disconnected before that. Definitely don’t get their pet insurance.

Definitely don’t get their pet insurance. Just had my renewal through and it’s jumped from £74/month to £140/month for a 5 year old dog with no claims over the last 12months. She’s a small to medium crossbreed so isn’t in the senior age bracket, she’s not been diagnosed with any new conditions over the past 12months and none of our other details have changed. No Loyalty for staying with Tesco, just higher prices

Have never made a claim on either of my policies, however, the renewal price on both policies has jumped 62% on each policy! I accept that cost do rise every year, (exactly what all the others say as well!) but when its as high as it is, +£200 on each policy, then £200 excess and 20% dual payment on the rest of the bill, I'm wondering if its worth it! Awful. Avoid.

Awful. Started off great 5 years ago, but all of a sudden they have increases my monthly premiums by over double following a small claim. When I queried this they said it's in the small print they can make changes to the policy at will. As I worked in pet insurance for 18 years I had asked many questions before commencing the policy but apparently the information they gave me 5 years ago no longer stands due to them changing their underwriter - it appears they are at liberty to ... Lovely Complaints department employees

Won't pay up.

Just been advised that Tesco Pet Insurance are refusing to pay for dental checks and clean for our dog because the vet made reference to her teeth having mild to moderate calculus two and half years ago. He also said at the time no action needed other than continue brushing and cleaning routine. It so happens that this healthcheck which was actually for annual boosters was 11 days after us taking the policy out. This policy was taken out on the 1st March 2022 as that was when th...
