LACKING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Went to Skegness Tesco to collect currency, kiosk all lit up but no attendant around or a sign to say when back!! Was told she's on lunch and will be back later! LATER?? Couldn't tell me when! Phoned the helpline to cancel and they had the cheek to want to charge me a £10 cancellation fee, hence they didn't after I argued successfully. The rate isn't even that good with your clubcard, TUI give a higher rate! Reviewed on: 27th February 2025

They told me that if I buy euros with them and then...

They told me that if I buy euros with them and then dont spend all of them I can change back commission free. However once I returned to change my unspent euros they charged me £300 because there spread from sell to buy back is like 20% so they dont call it commission but trust me there will be a huge charge to change your money back! Awful experience.

Awful experience. They don't keep me updated on royal mail deliver status. Yesterday they attempted delivery at 10am, and then today they haven't even attempted by 1pm, which is supposed to be guaranteed. I still don't have my travel money. Doesn't let you make a purchase online

Online exchange rate is always better - unfortunately it doesn't let you make the transaction. They give you a number to call for assistance - unfortunately they don't help, they tell you try another device and when you tell them that you have already done this they say they don't know then. Maybe they want you to buy from one of their bureaus where you get a rubbish exchange rate. I went with Sainsbury online in the end, it was simple and quick - and it works! Collection Desk Closed

Advised to collect currency after 3pm, arrived just after 3pm to find lady had just gone on a 30 minute break. Couldn't wait and there was no guarantee they wouldn't be on a break the following day so had to cancel order. Now have to wait up to 10 working days to get my money back. Very poor service. Holiday ruined

I live in a rural place. Bought and arranged currency collection for 5 days after purchase. Went to collect. Not there. No idea when it would be delivered. We were moving to the city that evening en route to flying out. Eventually they agreed to a refund so I could purchase elsewhere. I’m still waiting on this. I now need to pay a second time for currency. Really really disappointed in the customer service and the “couldn’t care less” attitude of the Tesco customer service desk employee and the people in the help centre. Brilliant

Ordered Euro`s on line late Monday evening . Rate really good . Collected from local store from customer services 7 p.m 2 days later . Asked to check notes before collecting . Good assortmant of 20,10,5 Euro notes ,plus a couplwe of 50 Euro`s . Well done Tesco for brilliant service . Reviewed on: 17th August 2023
