Appalling customer service

I ordered currency online. In the FAqs it states photo ID is required eg passport or driving licence. They should remove the eg as that is all they will accept. I took other photo ID but was not allowed to collect my money. As I had travelled especially to collect it I asked to cancel the order and my husband who had his driving licence would repurchase it. To do that there was a £10 charge. Totally ridiculous and a money making racket. the person in the kiosk was one of the most unhelpful people I have encountered in a long time. A Tesco staff member told me the currency kiosk wasn’t part of Tesco so I couldn’t complain in store. Reviewed on: 29th April 2024

They told me that if I buy euros with them and then...

They told me that if I buy euros with them and then dont spend all of them I can change back commission free. However once I returned to change my unspent euros they charged me £300 because there spread from sell to buy back is like 20% so they dont call it commission but trust me there will be a huge charge to change your money back! Awful experience.

Awful experience. They don't keep me updated on royal mail deliver status. Yesterday they attempted delivery at 10am, and then today they haven't even attempted by 1pm, which is supposed to be guaranteed. I still don't have my travel money. Doesn't let you make a purchase online

Online exchange rate is always better - unfortunately it doesn't let you make the transaction. They give you a number to call for assistance - unfortunately they don't help, they tell you try another device and when you tell them that you have already done this they say they don't know then. Maybe they want you to buy from one of their bureaus where you get a rubbish exchange rate. I went with Sainsbury online in the end, it was simple and quick - and it works! Collection Desk Closed

Advised to collect currency after 3pm, arrived just after 3pm to find lady had just gone on a 30 minute break. Couldn't wait and there was no guarantee they wouldn't be on a break the following day so had to cancel order. Now have to wait up to 10 working days to get my money back. Very poor service.
