Review of the Family Building Society, Savings:

Excellent building society.

I visited the branch today and as always had great service. On this occasion i was helped by Alexis Osborne. I have had an account with this society for very many years- probably more than 30- and it’s by far the best building society I’ve ever used in every way but particularly in respect of the branch staff who are always knowledgeable and very helpful. We are lucky to have this society in Epsom. Reviewed on: 27th May 2025

Antiquated login system

Tried to login today but there is a different system now that prevented me from doing so. I phoned FBS who said I had to wait 5 days for a verification code. I queried why I had not been informed about this to be told we emailed you ( not true as I keep all your emails) and also it came in a newsletter, again I keep all the correspondence and I haven’t received this letter. Very disappointed with this new system which is preventing me access to my account, what an antiquated system. Reviewed on: 15th January 2026

Difficuly logging in

I called today as I was having difficulty logging in. The customer services adviser was very patient and helpful. She walked me through the process and I actually had to re-register as the system had updated since I last logged in and my password needed changing. Thank you for making it easy. Just need to wait for verification code through the post and will be sorted Reviewed on: 12th January 2026

Online Help

Tracy talked me through the new signing in online system as I could not access my account. The verification code sent in the post did not work & I wanted to add money to my account. Reviewed on: 12th January 2026

Savings 12 month review

Been with this company over 12 months they offer competitive savings rates I’ve had to contact them twice due to locking myself out of my account and they have been excellent at getting me sorted quickly and very knowledgeable staff thank you Reviewed on: 7th January 2026
