Very friendly Family members

I have been saving with Family Building Society for a few years and each time I have a need to contact them the responses are friendly, informative and swift. When I recently reinvested my maturing ISA and asked for confirmation of the opening of the new account I received a phone call where I was treated as an individual, with a chat about the callers friend with a similar address to mine. This was just the sort of informality I wanted rather than to be seen as just another customer. I live alone and during the Covid 19 lockdown it was lovely to get a friendly voice on the phone. Great to have loyalty products for existing customers with very competitive rates. Accounts are available to open in branch and via post not just online, a real bonus today! Your communications are good, but might I suggest that for Joint accounts where both holders are at the same address only one letter is sent addressed to both parties. Reviewed on: 29th April 2020

Family and friendly

Over the years have had savings and mortgages with many building societies, and most are impersonal and generally unhelpful. Family is so different, the recent Annul Savings Summary with its personalised front cover made me smile, and that is a first. Thank you Family. Reviewed on: 28th April 2020
