Keep introducing newer savings accounts

You have to keep a close watch on your savings with FSB as they keep releasing newer accounts with higher rates of interest. This means that you have to keep changing your savings account to their newest issue. They all do this to some extent, but FSB seems to do it more than most B Socs. Reviewed on: 21st April 2023

We have to balance the money we hold for our savers against the money we lend on our mortgages, and this affects the types of savings products we offer and their availability, at any particular time. Our aim as the Family Building Society is that we continue to offer value for money and competitive rates. Not a happy bunny!

I have a lot of money sitting in my Bank account with very small interest waiting for a verification code. I am considering cancelling this application and saving with another Company who is prepared to let me pay in immediately! Reviewed on: 18th April 2023

A refreshing change.
