A refreshing take on banking

Communication from Triodos about how my money is used is clear and makes me feel like I’m part of something fair and thoughtful. Refreshing in these times where unsustainable growth is often marketed as the only way to go- I like how Triodos is prepared to challenge this narrative. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2025

Excellent bamk

I have a current and a saving account with Triodos. I love that they lend money to ethical businesses. I also like the small monthly charge as a visible charge instead of hidden overdraft charges. A GOOD bank . Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

Banking in line with my values

It’s easy to overlook where we keep our money. Triodos allows us to use it to support initiatives with a strong social and environmental conscience. I’m so glad it exists so this choice is available. Whenever I need to speak to someone they are always helpful and friendly. They also provide a map with information about the organisations they support which is fascinating. Good, ethical bank

As well as being an ethical bank, Tridos has excellent customer service, if I have had any issues they have been dealt with quickly. I am also happy with the app and the ease of day to day banking. Couldn't be happier to have my money with them. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

Banking for a Better Future

I’ve had a great experience so far banking with Triodos. The Personal Current Account is everything you could need, and the monthly £3 paid to the company is just and I know it goes towards truly worthwhile, positive, and sustainable causes. Moving forward, a bank like Triodos that is transparent in practise, invests money in these kind of projects, and is considerate of their environmental impacts, is all too key for future banking. The only downside is that the bank does not support Apple Pay, but I believe they are looking into it. I enjoy using Apple Pay, and make it work by having another account with NatWest, which I transfer weekly allowances to to use when out and about. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

Feel good about your money

I moved from one of the biggest high street banks because I learned about all the things my bank was doing that I didn't agree with. After nearly a year I'm glad I changed. It feels nice to have a bank account with a conscience. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

A breath of fresh air

I was fed up with my previous bank playing such a huge role in the funding of fossil fuels and god knows what else. Triodos has total transparency and support sustainable and green projects, if only all the other banks did this! My actual account and card works almost no differently to my previous Santander account. The only differences are that you need a digipass calculator to log in on a computer, and money can take up to an hour to be transferred to another account. Personally, this is not an issue. Feel good about banking, plus so easy to swap

It was extremely easy to move my account from a traditional high street bank to Triodos. One online form, then 15 minutes to set-up and understand the app. The hassles you might think you’d have (standing orders etc.) are all dealt with by Triodos. The app is safe and very easy to use, and I have instant access to my account 24/7. Now I know my money is not being used to fund anything that’s damaging to the environment, arms or anything immoral. In a words where it’s easy to feel helpless, this is a very simple way to know you’re making a stand and making a difference. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019
