The best bank for climate activists

As a climate activist, it's been essential for me to bank with a company that has the highest ethical and environmental standards. I have long been a customer with Triodos and I'm always satisfied with their customer services. Reviewed on: 21st March 2026

All-round excellent bank

Triodos offer transparent information on how they use my money ethically. When I've had probelms their entire customer service team has been friendly and helpful. Their products are good value for money and are competitive in the ethical banking market. Reviewed on: 21st March 2026

Ethical, helpful, stress-free banking

I chose Triodos because it means my money isn't being used to fund illegal wars or exploit people and the planet, and I would have been happy just with that, but their service has been amazing. I've spoken to actual human beings when I've needed to and they have been super helpful and really clear. In fact clarity of communication has been a consistent part of my experience throughout. This is the only bank I've ever used that has brought me no stress or worry whatsoever. They hadn't been running personal accounts very long when I joined, so not everything I wanted was in place, but they responded to queries and let me know what they were planning next - now it does everything I need and I couldn't be happier with them. Triodos is a compassionate bank.

Triodos have a fantastic customer services team. They are friendly knowledgeable and respectful. Nothing ever is a problem to them and they always help and it's very personalised care. I feel grateful I can bank ethically and know my money is not supporting the arms trades or other terrible things. I believe Triodos deserve this recognition for leading with compassion. The current account fees are low.

The current account fees are low. The good thing about Triodos is that when interest rates go up, they automatically increase the interest rates on my savings account rather than leaving it to the customer to request it. Reviewed on: 21st March 2026
