A refreshing take on banking

Communication from Triodos about how my money is used is clear and makes me feel like I’m part of something fair and thoughtful. Simply the most ethical place for your money

I switched my current account to Triodos about a year ago because I wanted to know that my money wasn't fuelling climate change but was doing some good in the world. I love the way they are so transparent about what your money is being used for. Highly recommended Reviewed on: 16th January 2022

A Bank for These Times

I joined up with Triodos as a savings bank in their early days as I admired their ethics. Now I'm finding their current account flows with such synchronicity with the life changes I am experiencing. It provides valuable reassurance. Reviewed on: 16th January 2022

Ethical

It's so important that banks conduct their business ethically and I am 100% confident that Triodos does this. I feel very happy to let them manage my banking. Paying them a small fee each month so that the money needed to run my banking is transparently obtained makes me happy. No fossil fuels, no poor treatment of people, no poor treatment of animals, no head office in London meaning I pay more for their address, fair wage structures, no excessive profits, access to banking for individuals, groups & charities - what's not to like? Ethical bank, few payment glitches

It feels great to bank with someone who is very ethical and aims to do good and shares our values. The only downsides are we’ve had issues with processing card payments several times. The security is very tight which can be good and bad when trying to make a payment and needing the token creation thingy. Paying in cheques you have to post off and you can’t pay in cash but we’re mostly card anyway now. These are a small price to pay for a bank which is truely using our money to do good. Triodos deserves more spotlight

Not only is the bank making sure money only ends up in good places while offering full transparency to its customers about it, it is a disgrace that the fact that the opposite is happening at the major banks, i.e. most money getting spent in unsustainable construction projects, fossil fuels and yet worse the big market of weapons, gets no spotlight at all. Therefore it would simply be unacceptable if any of these banks would win awards instead. Reviewed on: 16th January 2022
