Absolute rubbish

They don’t contact you they are hard to contact on hold at least 45 minutes staff are rude and unhelpful all they care about is squeezing every penny out of you! Reviewed on: 6th March 2023

Fine as a credit card horrendous if you have a problem with a retailer!!

I had used my credit card fine, the app was OK. Annoyed they use your details to try to sell you Virgin Media I did not give permission for that!! I had a problem with a retailer that did not send the goods and in reality looks like they are scam artists! I notified Virgin I had a problem and had tried to rectify it myself to no avail. More than two weeks later the amount is still on the account, they have not notified Mastercard of the problem that will take another couple of weeks!! Mastercard can then take another 90 days to resolve it and then finally I get a refund!! I once had this happen years ago with a different credit card company and it was taken straight off of my account and they dealt with it themselves! I also now find my Equifax record shows I have a dispute with Virgin although I pay everything fine and my credit rating has been reduced drastically!! Don't touch them they are not worth the problems you will get!! Reviewed on: 6th March 2023

Straightforward app

The virgin money app is really easy to use. It's quick and easy to see how much you've spent on your credit card and changing the direct debit amount or the way you pay is easy too. Reviewed on: 28th February 2023

Transparent with offers and rates

First credit card company I’ve dealt with that is completely transparent about your promotional rates in the bank statements. I can see how much money I have left to pay off for each promotion I’ve used and it pays them off in order of which promotion ends first and is very clear about this. I can’t count the number of times I’ve trawled through documents and statements of other banks to find out when my promotional rate ends. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2023

cannot share a joint account

We had a joint credit card account with Yorkshire Bank for many years. We were told we had been sold to Virgin Money We cannot now both have access to the app (ITS A JOINT ACCOUNT) If I try to access it on my phone, my wife's phone gets a fraud alert and we are locked out. It worked perfectly well when it was with YB and we had the credit card account linked to our current account but Virgin Money don't allow that, you need a separate app for current accounts and credit cards. absolutely appalling lack/absence of customer service. I had to dispute a transaction, and the only way to do it is via post (no email, no phone, nothing else). I produced a substantial report, including all the evidence I had, it was several pages long. It was sent to Virgin Money more than 2 months ago. They completely ignored it.
