My credit card of choice with all the benefits that the card brings, including my favourite, the Virgin Lounge. On the rare occasion I've had to speak with a member of staff in relation to my credit card I've been impressed with their assistance and real commitment to resolving my issue. Ruthless and taking advantage of people

Aparently I miss understood the small writing on one of the conditions on my card. I called in advance to make sure I could use for shopping, but as one of Virgin Money's customer service employees said "it's not their problem that I didn't understand it correctly". I applied to have the phone conversation being revised and 3 weeks after it should have been resolved still had not heard anything back. Of course when I called to enquire the result was that I have been perfectly informed and virgin will not do anything about it. If I want to get a transcript of the conversation I have to apply in writing, pay £10 and wait a minimum of 4 weeks (0n top of the 3 weeks this has already been going on for). Clearly making it easy for the customer... It is such a shame, I was over the moon about the 0% period I got on the card but I have ended up loosing £72 i can't afford to loose at the moment. At no time whatsoever virgin has tried to be understanding or fair. Very disappointed. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE SMALL WRITING IF OPTING FOR VIRGIN AND KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED THAT NOTHING GOES WRONG AFTER, THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU. Reviewed on: 7th November 2017

Awesome interest free period

Should improve clarity and proactiveness of communication

I missed a minimum payment simply because I forgot to pay. I called their customer care, apologising, and enquiring whether I had lost my promotional rate, and was told I was going to keep it, as long as I immediately paid what I had to. I very much did so, thus going back to be a "good customer", but not for long. In fact, while I did set up a direct debit... I did it too late, unfortunately! I missed the *subsequent* minimum payment as well. Nobody called me to tell me that, at that point, I had missed another payment and I found out I was charged interest when I got the bill. So, thinking that they had lied about my promotional rate, I wrote an angry negative review here, when in fact this is just a misunderstanding. I must suggest, however, that being more proactive in informing people about their rate changes might help honest and *solvent* customers avoid nasty surprises - even though self-inflicted. After being sent a request for ID to an OLD address they stopped my DD and then put me onto standard terms instead of interest free when they failed to collect my DD, took hours and hours on the phone to sort out. Reviewed on: 30th September 2017

PLEASE BE AWARE: Horrendous company who after having a plus balance balance on a credit card ,refused to pay back the funds.Had to report to Hampshire Police that Virgin Money UK had commited theft against me today. Once you open an account they refuse to close it as per your legal entitlement - leaving you powerless. Outrageous customer services and I would recommend that if you want days of worry,pain and anguish this is the company for you! Reviewed on: 9th September 2017
