Good credit card for overseas trips

Good credit card for overseas trips as are not charged a fee for using the card overseas unlike other banks. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Should improve clarity and proactiveness of communication

I missed a minimum payment simply because I forgot to pay. I called their customer care, apologising, and enquiring whether I had lost my promotional rate, and was told I was going to keep it, as long as I immediately paid what I had to. I very much did so, thus going back to be a "good customer", but not for long. In fact, while I did set up a direct debit... I did it too late, unfortunately! I missed the *subsequent* minimum payment as well. Nobody called me to tell me that, at that point, I had missed another payment and I found out I was charged interest when I got the bill. So, thinking that they had lied about my promotional rate, I wrote an angry negative review here, when in fact this is just a misunderstanding. I must suggest, however, that being more proactive in informing people about their rate changes might help honest and *solvent* customers avoid nasty surprises - even though self-inflicted. Abismal Customer Service

After being sent a request for ID to an OLD address they stopped my DD and then put me onto standard terms instead of interest free when they failed to collect my DD, took hours and hours on the phone to sort out. Reviewed on: 30th September 2017

Leave well alone

PLEASE BE AWARE: Horrendous company who after having a plus balance balance on a credit card ,refused to pay back the funds.Had to report to Hampshire Police that Virgin Money UK had commited theft against me today. Once you open an account they refuse to close it as per your legal entitlement - leaving you powerless. Outrageous customer services and I would recommend that if you want days of worry,pain and anguish this is the company for you! Reviewed on: 9th September 2017

be nice to have a card to use - update

The card that was due did not turn up when it should have. However a card turned up yesterday and another today!! I am now out of the 60 day 0% transfer period so the card is useless to me now. No one has contacted me despite my complaints. This is the worst service I have ever received. The most disappointing this is - No one cares. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2017

be nice to have a card to use

took out this card in june yet despite 3 phone calls I have still not received the card. was wanting to take advantage of the 60 day 0% interest offer but that time has now elapsed. I have now emailed a complaint as I do not have the time or will to sit through another phone call. cannot believe a company like this cannot even manage to get a card to a new customer. Easy transfer

Great rate for transfer from another Credit Card and 0% for 25 months... for both transfers and purchases and it was all done through an easy step by step application without the 'jargon' Reviewed on: 30th June 2017
