Not great, not terrible

The app is a pain in the neck, it frequently has problems and now no longer even works on my ipad. Otherwise ok Reviewed on: 4th February 2023

getting no better

I was with Yorkshire Bank for over 40 years and then they just told me I was now a Virgin Money customer! I have found Virgin Money to be unhelpful and/or uninformed on every contact. There is no 'Customer Service' to speak of and I am looking to change banks soon. Reviewed on: 2nd February 2023

GOOD ACCOUNT WITH SOME BENEFITS

I like the account, it gives you real-time information on all your transactions, and has a few worthwhile benefits like cashback and no foreign currency charges. Reviewed on: 1st February 2023

Avoid at all costs

Ignorant customer service, rude and arrogant! dissatisfied or disgruntled employees!. Avoid at all costs. I'm still waiting on my application being approved Been waiting for nearly 4 months now, I’ve contacted Virgin money so many times This is getting ridiculous. Liked Yorkshire bank but not virgin

Previously banked with Yorkshire bank, if I missed a payment, I paid no fees, when Virgin took over they added fees Reviewed on: 13th January 2023

Virgin money joke cant get through on phone however much i try account frozen

Saw good rates opened 2 x current accounts 2 x linked savers and a cash isa. Day one UNABL to get through on phone that continues to today used the phone app made a payment blocked and account account frozen along with mobile app under maintenance now trying to get all monies out and close accounts. Got through twice today 30 mins hold then cut off on both occasions given direct no to fraud dept and guess what on hold transferred then cut off great customer services. Do not use this bank.

At least once a year Virgin Money will lock your account without notification. You'll then spend the best part of a few hours calling them. Avoid this dire service and use a different bank, like Starling. Reviewed on: 25th November 2022

Nasty bank

Bank treated me with contempt

Terrible bank, staff are highly inexperienced and feel entitled to treat customer accounts with contempt. App is dangerous, constantly blocks payments. Virgin stores are few. If your account gets blocked, forget you ever had any money at Virgin Reviewed on: 19th November 2022

Appalling Service

Completed a form for a chargeback as bought an item online and didn’t receive. Got an email from a customer rep acknowledging received my form asked for additional information waited 7 weeks and not heard a think no replies no update no money.
