Fantastic, personable service

I've been with virgin for over two years and they constantly amazed me with how they go out of their way to help. Whether it's following up on issues, helping to arrange things, or simply saying "leave it with me, I'll sort that for you" so I can get on with my day. They are 100% supportive of me and I would (and have) recommend them to everyone and anyone! Reviewed on: 23rd January 2018

Worst Banking Experience

The app doesn't always work. I have been unable to make payments from my account. The wait times to speak to anyone has never been any less than 40 minutes. The last call I have just had, has left me in tears, I feel so frustrated and patronised. I am currently completely locked out of my business banking, going round in circles with new passwords, after the system is telling me what I have entered is similar to my last, when it simply isn't. Its not the first time I have had issues that have later transpired to be issues with their app!! Reviewed on: 9th November 2022

BAD BANK EVER

I have been with virgin money for three years ,suddenly they close my account without giving me a notice or they called me, as my regular wages were coming into the account ,first they close my app than when I called customer line to check quick balance its automated saying the balance is zero. Than again I called than after one and half hour somebody answered but it still saying I don't have any balance but she was rude and cut my call ,again I called but this time after one hour same other rude answered but she told me go in the bank ,I went the the bank they check my details and they printed the mini statement showing its zero, and its good on same day I received my wages I showed them my pay slip and than the rudest manager came and she called someone in their head office and than after nearly waiting there for 2 hours she told me someone will call me from the bank I went home , i waited for five days than i called back to customer service again that time they told me my wages are there but I need to go back to the bank and withdraw. This bank is wast of time and money ,please close your accounts from them and go to other provider. DON'T SEE THE ONE STAR THERE THINK I HAVE GIVEN 0000000000....ZERO....0000 Reviewed on: 5th October 2022

Need new people at top to run this company

This bank is the worst bank I have dealt with phoned twice today after waiting over 30 minutes this evening and then getting through only to be told my sort code no was dealt with another department unbelievable I was on to the ombudsman this week about another complaint and was told virgin had a back log of complaints no wonder the people at the top should be embarrassed about how this company is run I would suggest the people at the top making big money should do the right thing and empty there desks and leave and let people that know what they are doing run the company you shouldn't need to wait over 30 minutes for a phone to be answered I once thought virgin money was a good bank but not now it's the worst bank I deal with and in my opinion it isn't run properly so that says to me the people at the top need replacing and quickly before they leave I suggest they go and answer the phones for a couple of weeks they may learn how a bank works? a good idea I'd say. No one answers the phone

They do not solve problems because there is no way to contact anyone. They never answer my calls. This means I can't access my money, it is locked away behind a number that is forever on hold. Appalling way to treat customers. Reviewed on: 28th September 2022

Worst bank ever

This is one of the worst banks which freezes and blocks customer accounts and I found them to be racist to me in doing so. Avoid. Reviewed on: 27th September 2022

Contacting customer service

I have been trying to make contact for over a week to no avail. Keep getting the please hold which then transforms to experiencing high number of calls the latest was at 8:02am. Have to use telephone as my nearest branch was closed Reviewed on: 10th September 2022

Just godawful

Just godawful. Consistently on hold for at least 40 mins. One alert where they asked me to contact them. After over an hour on hold, I gave up and tried another number. They looked at the account and said there was nothing wrong - although they verified that the alert had indeed come from them. Then online account was blocked - again, spent ages on hold on a Sunday when their hours were showing as open. But then it had to be referred to another department and they weren't open until Monday. So tried again on Monday and got everything resolved in about 5 mins - but was on hold for 45 mins to get there. So many problems with their new system. I really hope they get this sorted soon because it's a miserable experience having to deal with their very inaccessible customer support and appalling wait times. Reviewed on: 15th August 2022
