Terrible Customer Service

Zopa is a fine company if you want to put money in and get a nice return. However, dont try and contact the customer service on their portal - It is a complete nightmare. I used their own portal chat to ask them why there is no difference between a 95 days interest rate and a 30 day interest rate - nothing that would break ANY security or confidentiality rules. They kept coming back asking for last 4 numbers of paying in bank, wanting full names etc. Absolute BS. What is wrong with saying our interest rates are the same because of . . . . instead of all the running around. Jobsworth and incompetence comes to mind. I have already given notice to withdraw 95day savings and will also be giving notice on the 30day and 7 day savings and move to a company that can at least answer simple questions. 30.03.23 _ additional. It now appears as though the notice periods in the "pots" means nothing. When I went to give notice on the 30 day savings, I was told I dont have access to this for 95days ? When I went to give notice on 7 days savings, I was told I dont have access for 31 days. The people who work in customer service (oxymoron) cant help me and ask me what my "quarry" (sic - query) is. Fastest account I ever opened

After I had downloaded the app, it took me less than 5 minutes to open an account with them and in less than 10 I had some savings there which are already giving me great interest. Easy to manage on app and strong rates

The Smart Saver product offers real flexibility with how I want to save and I can do it all on my mobile app. The rates are always strong and I love the feature of being able to create different boosted pots! It lets me keep my finance goals organised while leaving a small emergency amount in their instant access pot so that I can have money and earn a bit of interest but access it immediately if an emergency comes up. Easy to use and good rates

I moved some of my savings to smart saver because of the rates. The auto save feature is really convenient so I don't have to think about it. I can still add whenever I want and have put some of my money in some of the boosted pots. Reviewed on: 29th March 2023

Efficient and Competitive

AVOID!!!!

AVOID!!!! One star is too generous. Trying to transfer money into another account due to financial situation. I provided the necessary document to verify the bank account and received confirmation this was done. Transferred the money and closed my account only to receive an email saying the funds are being returned (to a now closed account) as the account they had verified had not actually been verified.
